On July 18, the Downtown Aquarium invites guests to celebrate World Snake Day with a fun, family-friendly event highlighting the incredible adaptations and importance of snakes. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with animal care experts, enjoy up-close snake encounters, and participate in interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and learning for all ages.


This event is free and open to the community; Aquarium Adventure Exhibit admission is required for activities located inside the exhibits.

Activities throughout the day offer something for everyone in the family.


At the Conservation Station, guests can enjoy crafts and coloring, spin a reptile-themed trivia wheel, explore bio-facts, and learn about educational programs and conservation efforts. During Science in Action, guests will take part in interactive experiments that demonstrate how some snakes are able to sense the heat of their prey.


Additional experiences include animal encounters, exhibit chats, and fish feedings for a fun and educational day at the Aquarium.
