Thanks to Guest donations, we've proudly supported a wide range of impactful conservation projects around the world, in partnership with leading organizations and researchers:
- In partnership with Wildlife Alliance, we:
- Provided funds for a prosthetic leg for “Chhouk,” an injured Asian elephant in Cambodia, giving him a second chance at life at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center (PTWRC).
- Funded the construction of a nursery for orphaned wildlife in Cambodia, offering care and rehabilitation for young animals in need at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center (PTWRC).
- Built a ranger station in Cambodia to help protect endangered wild tigers from poaching and habitat threats.
- In partnership with the Katie Adamson Conservation Fund, we:
- Installed bee boxes to reduce human-wildlife conflict between elephants and farmers, using bees as a natural deterrent to protect crops and promote coexistence.
- In partnership with OCEARCH, we:
- Fund scientific equipment for shark tagging research, aiding in the study and protection of these vital marine predators. Our most recent donation funded the purchase of a “goniometer”. This specialized receiver detects satellite tag ‘pings’ from PSATs (Pop-up Satellite Archival Tags) used by OCEARCH. These tags collect high-resolution data on sharks’ dive and temperature profiles. While they transmit limited data via satellite, recovering the physical tag allows researchers to download detailed information, which is invaluable for understanding shark behavior and habitat use. The goniometer significantly increases the chances of retrieving these tags, which would otherwise only be found if they happen to wash ashore.
- In partnership with Havenworth Coastal Conservation, we:
- Support data collection on wild sawfish populations in Florida, helping scientists monitor and conserve this critically endangered species.
- In partnership with Texas A&M University at Galveston, we:
- Collaborate with professors and graduate students on marine biology research projects, right in our own backyard.
