Downtown Aquarium is the product of redeveloping two Downtown Houston landmarks – Fire Station No. 1 and the Central Waterworks Building. This magnificent six-acre entertainment and dining complex is a 500,000-gallon aquatic wonderland, home to over 300 species of aquatic life from around the globe. With a full-service restaurant, an upscale bar, a fully equipped ballroom, aquatic & geographic exhibits, shopping and a variety of amusements, Downtown Aquarium has it all!

Property wide events, ride maintenance, weather updates and other circumstances lead us to sometimes change the hours of operations for certain parts of the Downtown Aquarium. Read here for updates on exhibit closures, time changes, ride closures, and reopenings. We apologize for any inconvenience these may cause!
Holiday Hours:
Christmas Eve (December 24): 11AM - 7PM
Christmas Day (December 25): 12PM - 8PM
New Years Eve (December 31): 10AM - 9PM
*The outdoor tiger exhibit will be closed from 12/5 - 12/19. The indoor exhibit will be open during this time.
