Scouts can earn merit badges and achievements at the Downtown Aquarium!


Our programs meet some or all requirements and may include hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes tours, live animal encounters, and more!

DURATION

9:00am - 12:00noon

All programs (with the exception of the Wild Dreams Overnight*) are 3 hours long and available for reservations Monday – Sunday. 


COST

Three-hour day programs are $35 per participant. Includes our All Day Adventure Pass.

Receive 1 free chaperone for every 5 students! Additional adults must purchase a group rate ticket.


Current Available Programs

  • Brownies Pets Badge - Scouts will learn how to provide excellent care for different types of pets, meet the animals that call the Aquarium home, learn how we care for them, and how it relates to responsible pet ownership. Scouts will feed our stingrays, create a home for a turtle, do a scavenger hunt, and more!
  • Juniors Habitats Badge - Scouts will meet the amazing animals that call the Aquarium home and discover how to protect and preserve their wild habitats. Scouts will feed our stingrays, learn about habitat conservation, meet animals up-close, and more!


Program must be booked two weeks in advance for a minimum of 5 children.

Actual patches/awards are not included. Our Downtown Aquarium Fun Patch is available for purchase for $3.50 each.


*Upgrade your adventure to a Wild Dreams Overnight; it’s $70 per participant and requires a minimum of 10 guests. Our Educators will modify the regular Wild Dreams Overnight itinerary to include badge activities and a guided tour, crafts, sleeping within inches of our beautiful Bengal tigers, a hot breakfast, T-shirt and more! Get ready to stay up late, learn all about tigers, enjoy crafts, a scavenger hunt, and sleep within inches of these amazing animals during Wild Dreams Overnight. Celebrate your special occasion with a dinner reservation in the Aquarium Restaurant, unlimited access to the Amusement Park, and then spending the night here at the Downtown Aquarium! Explore the rainforests of the world and learn about conservation through the eyes of a tiger.

Available on Friday and Saturday evenings, excluding major holidays, beginning at 8:00pm and ending at 9:00am the following morning.

  • Age: 6 - 14
  • $70 per child (plus tax and service charge)
  • must be reserved online at least two weeks in advance and are booked on a first-come, first served basis.
  • Requires a $350 deposit, due at the time of booking.
