The event takes place in our Aquarium Exhibit, Nautilus Ballroom, and at our train station, featuring delicious wine, amazing food, and animal interactions!

SAWFISH CONSERVATION STATION
During our event, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about sawfish and conservation with special guests from Havenworth Coastal Conservation. Join us in our Reel to Real room from 7:00PM – 8:30PM to pick up some sawfish swag and learn more about our conservation efforts.
The Downtown Aquarium is home to a rare female largetooth sawfish – a critically endangered species.
- Researchers believe that sawfish have become locally extinct in at least 20 countries, including the United States, where the largetooth sawfish hasn’t been seen in the wild since 1961.
- Largetooth sawfish can grow up to 20 feet in length and are among the largest fish in the ocean.
- Sawfish are large rays with long, saw-like snouts, called rostrums, that are used to find and stun prey in murky coastal water.
- All 5 sawfish species are endangered or critically endangered.
